1. Our Commitment
Strategic Demolition Disaster Relief (SDDR) is committed to providing and maintaining a safe and healthy working environment for all employees, contractors, and visitors. We recognize that demolition and disaster recovery involve high-risk environments, and we prioritize the safety of our team and the Victorian community above all operational goals.
2. Objectives
Our primary safety objectives are to:

Achieve an injury-free workplace through rigorous risk management and hazard identification.

Ensure full compliance with the Occupational Health and Safety Act 2004 (Vic) and associated regulations.

Maintain industry-leading standards for structural integrity assessments and hazardous material handling.
3. Responsibilities
To ensure a safe work environment, SDDR will:

Provide the necessary resources, training, and equipment to perform tasks safely.

Conduct thorough site-specific risk assessments before commencing any disaster relief or demolition activity.

Implement strict protocols for managing structural instability and debris removal in emergency zones.

Regularly review and update our safety management systems to reflect current best practices and legislative changes.
4. Employee and Contractor Obligations
Safety is a shared responsibility. All personnel working with SDDR are required to:

Comply with all safety instructions, policies, and Safe Work Method Statements (SWMS).

Wear and maintain all required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at all times while on-site.

Report all hazards, near-misses, and incidents immediately to the Site Supervisor.

Stop work immediately if they believe an environment is unsafe or risks structural collapse.
5. Consultation and Communication
SDDR is committed to open consultation with our workers. We encourage active participation in safety meetings and the identification of site-specific hazards to ensure that our safety culture is proactive and informed.
